Jacob (Sungyon) worked on various projects at a strategic planning consulting firm in Korea. He led projects for government research institutes, including identifying promising technologies, developing R&D roadmaps, marketing strategies, and feasibility analysis, etc. He also worked as a project manager at Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.

Jim Leachman

Dr. John T. Kim, a Senior Vice President of Engineering, received his Ph.D. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT, and has joined PLANA as Chief Airframe Engineer. He worked at Boeing for 17 years in the field of aeroelasticity to improve both aerodynamic and structural efficiencies of airframe.
He was a consultant for Lilium in their early development stage.
He is also working on a Zero-Emission Aircraft project funded by NASA.
